Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Cook food items efficiently and accurately, maintaining consistency across all dishes
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times
- Assist in organising the kitchen, including stock rotation and cleanliness of workstations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service
- Follow portion control guidelines and minimise waste in food preparation
- Support the team during busy periods, maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanour
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Previous experience in meal preparation, culinary techniques, and serving is desirable
- A passion for food, creativity, and continuous learning in the culinary arts
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and evenings as required
