Server – Restaurant
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and customer-focused Server to join our team in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment.
The successful candidate must have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills and the ability to provide consistently high standards of service.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Front of House (FOH) restaurant experience – essential.
- Must be fully flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, late finishes and bank holidays.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Confident taking food and drink orders accurately.
- Ability to recommend and upsell food and beverages.
- Able to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and allergen awareness.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and provide menu recommendations.
- Upsell food, drinks, sides and desserts where appropriate.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
- Check back with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests or concerns.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently throughout service.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations and FOH areas.
- Work closely with the kitchen and other FOH team members to ensure smooth service.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures.
- Process bills and payments accurately.
- Take ownership of assigned tables and provide excellent service from arrival through to departure.
Please note: Applicants who do not have at least 2 years of FOH restaurant experience or who are unable to offer full flexibility with working hours may not be suitable for this position.
