Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Nightshift Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate scanning and sorting of freight, allocating freight to the correct loading bays, and assisting van drivers with the safe and efficient loading of vehicles for delivery routes.
Working as part of a busy night operation, you will play a key role in ensuring freight is processed accurately and dispatched on time.
Duties
- Scan incoming and outgoing freight using handheld scanning equipment.
- Sort and allocate freight to the correct loading bays according to delivery routes and destinations.
- Ensure freight is handled safely and securely to minimise damage.
- Assist van drivers with the loading of vehicles in a timely and efficient manner.
- Verify freight against manifests and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow company procedures, health and safety regulations, and manual handling guidelines.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet operational deadlines and service targets.
- Report damaged freight, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
Requirements

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work night shifts.

- Previous warehouse, logistics, or freight handling experience.
