Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled HGV class 1 (C&E) recovery driver with mechanical knowledge to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting and recovering broken down commercial vehicles, both from the roadside and various depots around the Bristol area. We are a 24/7 operation with a rotational on call system covering evenings and weekends, so plenty of overtime earning above basic salary is available.
Duties
- Operate heavy commercial recovery vehicles
- Transport goods over short or long distances
- Maintain and inspect vehicles regularly
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Maintain accurate driving logs and records
Qualifications
- Hold a valid HGV C&E driving licence
- Experience an advantage, but full training will be provided
- Excellent driving record
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
