Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies
- Assist with light household chores to ensure a clean and safe living environment
- Support clients in attending appointments or outings, utilising driving skills if applicable
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure the wellbeing of clients and staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting clients outside the care setting
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required
