More about your role
As our Community & Colleague Engagement Apprentice, you'll support the delivery of colleague engagement, wellbeing, volunteering, fundraising and early careers activity across RMG. Working closely with the Engagement Manager, you'll help create positive experiences for colleagues while supporting programmes that make a meaningful difference in our communities.
This is a varied apprenticeship where no two days are the same. You'll support communications and engagement campaigns, coordinate volunteering and community activity, assist with careers and employability initiatives, create content for colleague communications and help measure the impact of our work.
What you'll be doing
- You'll support the planning and delivery of colleague engagement activities, including focus groups, colleague updates, surveys and internal campaigns.
- Using tools such as Canva, you'll help create engaging internal communications, including content for digital screens and internal publications, including magazine content for onsite teams.
- A key part of the role will be supporting our volunteering programme, helping to source and promote opportunities, track participation and coordinate activity with charity partners.
- Assisting with wellbeing, fundraising and social value initiatives that encourage colleague participation and make a positive impact.
- Helping build relationships with community partners, schools and colleges to support outreach, work experience, careers fairs and early careers engagement.
- You'll assist with the organisation of internal events, supporting with logistics, communications and on-the-day delivery.
- Alongside this, you'll support the gathering and reporting of engagement and social value data, helping us measure the impact of our work and identify opportunities to keep improving.

What we're looking for
- We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and keen to learn.
- You'll have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with a range of people. You'll be creative, proactive and able to manage a few different priorities at once.
- You'll also have basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and be willing to learn new systems and tools. Confidence engaging with external stakeholders such as schools, charities or community groups would also be beneficial.
- It would be great if you have experience supporting events or projects, an interest in colleague engagement, community impact or early careers, and some experience using tools like Canva, Teams, Viva Engage or Outlook, although full support and guidance will be provided.
- Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, curiosity and a genuine interest in making a difference.
