Join us at an exciting stage of our growth
Thrive Fulfilment is a growing independent e-commerce 3PL business, working with a diverse range of brands to store, pick, pack and despatch their products to customers across the UK and internationally.
Following continued growth and our move into a significantly larger warehouse in Lutterworth, we're looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day warehouse operation and help us build the next stage of Thrive Fulfilment.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than simply managing a shift.
You'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on how the warehouse operates, develop our team and introduce improvements as the business continues to grow.
The role
Reporting directly to the Directors, you'll have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the warehouse.
You'll directly manage our Warehouse Team Leader (Pick & Pack) and Stock & Inventory Supervisor, providing them with the support, direction and accountability they need to successfully run their respective areas.
A major part of the role is people management. We want someone who enjoys building a strong team, setting clear expectations and developing people, while being confident handling the more challenging aspects of management when required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day warehouse operation and ensuring client SLAs and courier deadlines are consistently achieved
- Managing, supporting and developing the Warehouse Team Leader and Stock & Inventory Supervisor
- Managing warehouse staffing, attendance, holidays, performance, probation reviews and employee development
- Planning labour requirements around changing order volumes and seasonal peaks
- Managing agency labour and overtime requirements where necessary
- Monitoring productivity, accuracy, quality and other warehouse KPIs
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety, housekeeping and warehouse organisation
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, productivity and warehouse efficiency
- Helping develop procedures and standards as the operation grows
- Working closely with the Directors on warehouse performance, capacity and future requirements
- Helping maintain the high level of service our clients expect from Thrive
What we're looking for
We're looking for a calm, capable and approachable warehouse leader who is comfortable taking ownership and making decisions.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous warehouse management or supervisory experience within 3PL, e-commerce fulfilment, logistics or distribution
- Experience leading and developing warehouse teams
- Experience managing Team Leaders or Supervisors, or be ready to take that next step
- Good practical experience of people management, including attendance, performance and difficult conversations
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to prioritise and make sensible decisions in a fast-moving operation
- Experience working with warehouse management systems and operational data
- An understanding of warehouse productivity, accuracy, service levels and labour planning
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with both colleagues and clients
Previous 3PL or e-commerce fulfilment experience would be highly advantageous, but we're also interested in strong candidates from other fast-paced warehouse and distribution environments.
You may currently be working as a Warehouse Manager, Shift Manager, Assistant Warehouse Manager or Operations Supervisor and looking for an opportunity to take greater ownership of an operation.
Why join Thrive?
We're at an exciting point in our development.
Our move to a larger Lutterworth facility gives us significantly more capacity to grow, and you'll be joining at a point where you can grow with the business.
Unlike joining a large operation where processes are already set in stone, this role offers the opportunity to make improvements, introduce ideas and see the direct impact of your decisions.
We offer:
- £35,000–£38,000 salary, depending on experience
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday–Friday working
- Company pension
- Holiday entitlement plus Bank Holidays
- Free on-site parking
- Employee discount/benefits scheme
- Training and development opportunities
- Genuine opportunity for progression as the business grows
- The opportunity to help shape a growing 3PL operation rather than simply inherit an established one
- Supportive, independent business with direct access to the decision-makers
If you're an experienced warehouse leader looking for the opportunity to develop a team and play an important part in the growth of a developing 3PL business, we'd love to hear from you.
