Join the friendly team at Allied Pharmacy on Marsh Street as a Pharmacy Assistant, where you'll play an important part in delivering excellent care to our local community. Working alongside our pharmacists and wider team, you'll support the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy while ensuring every customer feels welcomed and well looked after.
Key responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful advice on over-the-counter products
- Accurately dispense and label prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Manage stock, including ordering, receiving deliveries and rotating products
- Handle prescription queries and liaise with GP surgeries where needed
- Keep the pharmacy clean, tidy and well presented at all times
- Follow all standard operating procedures and confidentiality guidelines
What we're looking for:
- A warm, approachable manner and a genuine interest in helping people
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures carefully
- Confidence working as part of a team in a busy environment
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or customer-facing role is welcome, though full training will be provided
- A willingness to work towards a recognised pharmacy qualification, if not already held
