The Opportunity
The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Strategy and Policy Officer to support our Skills, Education and Employment team in the development and preparation of key strategies, policies and plans, as well as programme implementation.
The Skills, Education and Employment teamwork in partnership with Local Authorities, Government Departments and other key Skills, Education and Employment stakeholders to ensure the Combined Authority has a strong and robust strategic and evidence led approach to skills, education and employment investment that addresses the challenges and ambitions of our growing economy
What you will bring
- Good understanding and knowledge of skills, education and employment strategies, policies and investment plans
- Good understanding and knowledge of skills, education, employment and economic data, research and analysis
- Experience of strategy and policy development in a complex multi-stakeholder environment
- Experience of working in collaboration with a range of stakeholders in both the public, private and VCSE sector
- Knowledge of programme and project management
- Good communication skills
