2H is looking to add a Fixed Term Document Controller to the team in Woking.
The Document Controller will provide effective and efficient document management ensuring all current documentation, including project specific documentation meets client specification / contract requirements. The role will also allow for the current document control procedures / processes to be improved through continuous development.
Duties
Maintain and further develop the internal document control procedure and workflows
Control of existing and new documents within the Integrated Management System and Project Systems
Co-ordinate the creation, revision and retrieval of procedures in the Integrated Management System
Control document distribution
Monitor and report progress of document and drawing development and review, highlighting overdue documents and drawings
Ensuring adherence to the client document control procedures
Provide guidance on process and system improvement
Further develop and standardise internal document templates
Provide support for all internal and external audits and reviews
Attending weekly and monthly meetings and update action lists and reports
Write reports/procedures as and when required
Required
Relevant experience of working as document controller and interaction with engineering / projects environment
Effective/competent MS Office Suite User, especially MS Word and SharePoint
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken format
General office and administrative experience
Good knowledge of electronic data management systems
Awareness of ISO Standards
Self-starting and be able to communicate effectively with peers and project stakeholders
Be able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines
Independent and focused with the ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised
Organised and efficient
Personable, able to engender support and co-operation at all levels
Commitment to HSE and safety and assurance
