Overview
We are seeking dedicated Packing Operatives for the PM shift to join our clients food production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate packing of products in a fast-paced environment, adhering to food safety standards and company procedures. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the food manufacturing industry and contribute to delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate packing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently during the PM shift.
- Ensure all packed products meet specified quality and safety standards, including HACCP protocols.
- Accurately weigh, count, and package products according to batch specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the packing area in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory management as required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Skills
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards is highly desirable.
- Experience in food production or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues is beneficial.
- Basic maths skills for accurate weighing, counting, and recording data.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with a focus on cleanliness and safety.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
