Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high-quality home care services to clients in their own residences. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being within a safe and respectful environment.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to delivering person-centred care. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Helping with domestic chores including meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry
- Administering medication in accordance with care plans (training provided)
- Providing companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assisting clients with daily routines while respecting their independence and dignity
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems and following care plans
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care delivery
- Driving to various client locations as required, ensuring punctuality and reliability
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence and access to own transport preferred but not essential (30p per mile mileage)
- Experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans effectively
- Good IT skills for recording information accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, organised, and able to adapt to changing needs of clients

Pay: £13.45-£13.65 per hour
