The Role
As an HGV Paintshop Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality preparation, paint spraying, and refinishing work on HGVs and commercial vehicles. You'll play a key role in ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop finished to the highest possible standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing commercial vehicles and components for the paint process.
- Carrying out paint spraying and refinishing to manufacturer and industry standards.
- Completing filler work, sanding, masking, and final preparation to a high standard.
- Identifying repair requirements and ensuring work is completed efficiently.
- Maintaining excellent quality control throughout every stage of the refinishing process.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet workshop deadlines.
- Following all health and safety procedures and paint manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensuring completed vehicles are presented to the highest possible standard.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Paintshop Technician who takes pride in producing exceptional work.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience within a commercial vehicle or automotive paintshop.
- Strong paint spraying and preparation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- A positive attitude and excellent team-working skills.
- Good organisational and time management abilities.
- A full UK driving licence.
