Duties
- Conduct surveillance activities using CCTV systems to monitor premises and identify suspicious activity or security breaches
- Perform loss prevention measures by observing and deterring theft or vandalism within the facility
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, providing assistance as needed
- Maintain detailed records of patrols, incidents, and observations through shift reports and logs
- Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, and contractors
- Support first aid efforts by providing basic medical assistance when necessary and coordinating with emergency responders
- Conduct visual inspections of the property to ensure safety protocols are followed and security equipment is operational
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security or surveillance roles preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is highly desirable
- Ability to perform loss prevention activities with attention to detail and discretion
- Certification in first aid or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential risks quickly
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members, visitors, and emergency personnel
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts
