We are looking for an experienced Domestic Gas Engineer/Plumber to join our growing team.
The role is primarily based across the Teesside area, including Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar and Hartlepool. There will occasionally be jobs further north towards Durham, Sunderland, Newcastle and our wider North East operation.
You will receive booked appointments and support from our office team, allowing you to concentrate on completing jobs properly and looking after customers.
The work
The role includes:
- Boiler servicing, fault-finding and repairs
- Gas safety checks and landlord certificates
- Boiler and heating installations
- Heating system repairs
- Domestic plumbing repairs
- Leaks, taps, toilets and pipework
- Occasional bathroom and installation work
- Providing clear photographs and job notes through our mobile system
- Explaining work and options clearly to customers
Most work is pre-booked, although we also provide an emergency service.
Pay and on-call
- Basic salary of £35,000–£45,000, depending on experience and ability
- Realistic earnings of up to £55,000 with overtime and on-call payments
- Shared, paid on-call rota
- Additional payment for evening and weekend call-outs
- On-call work is allocated and supported by the office—not every evening or weekend

Requirements
You must have:
- Current Gas Safe qualifications
- Strong domestic plumbing and heating experience
- Experience diagnosing and repairing boiler and heating faults
- A full UK driving licence
- Good customer communication
- A reliable and professional approach
- The ability to complete photographs and clear job notes
Experience with boiler installations, controls and fault-finding would be particularly valuable.
