The Wayfarer is a renowned, family-run gastro Brewpub with 29 years in business, celebrated for exceptional food, warm hospitality, and an innovative approach to dining. Our kitchen is supplied by our Kitchen Garden on our 14-acre estate, alongside honey from our own bees. We have a strong reputation for fresh, high-quality, creative, and ambitious food - and now, we’re ready to push the boundaries even further.
Located in Parbold, an affluent and picturesque rural commuter village, The Wayfarer is a busy gastro pub with a unique on-site microbrewery. Our team and environment are our top priority, and we pride ourselves on creating a place where staff and guests feel at home.
The role:
We’re looking for an experienced Pub & Restaurant Operations Manager to take care of The Wayfarer. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the team, supported by a strong team of chefs, back-office staff, and a senior leadership team, reporting directly to the directors.
Key responsibilities:
- Be the face of The Wayfarer: a friend to our lovely regulars and a warm welcome to new customers
- Take day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of the Brewpub and Dining Rooms
- Lead and nurture your team from the front of house with a hands-on approach, prioritising staff wellbeing
- Oversee financial management, stock control, administration, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards
- Ensure consistently excellent customer service and guest experiences
- Work collaboratively with chefs and support teams to maintain high standards across the pub
Who we’re looking for:
- Experienced in hospitality management, ideally within a fresh food environment
- Confident leader with excellent communication skills and a hands-on, approachable style
- Organised, self-disciplined, and able to plan ahead
- Energetic, solution-focused, and able to problem-solve on the fly
- Someone who brings integrity, personality, and fresh ideas to the team
