About the Role:
As our Forest School Leader, you will lead our Forest School sessions, fostering an environment where children can learn, explore, and grow through outdoor play and adventure. Working from 8:00 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday, this role offers an all-year-round contract. Opportunity to be flexible with shift patterns over the school holidays to help support our holiday club.
You’ll be responsible for creating safe, inspiring outdoor learning spaces, and guiding children through forest-based activities that help develop their physical, social, and emotional skills in our onsite Forest!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead and manage Forest School sessions, ensuring that children receive an exceptional outdoor learning experience.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver a wide range of nature-based activities, supporting children in their individual learning journeys.
- Work closely with the nursery team to maintain high standards of practice, ensuring that sessions are safe and enriching.
- Supervise and monitor children aged 0-11 years, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, providing regular updates on children’s progress and achievements.
- Support the development of the Forest School environment, incorporating the natural world into the children’s play and learning experiences.
About You:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Level 3 Forest School qualification.
- Experience delivering Forest School sessions, ideally with early years children.
- A passion for outdoor education and nature-based learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and high standards of practice.
