About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys taking ownership. You'll manage your own sales ledger, build strong customer relationships and play a key role in maximising cash collection and reducing overdue debt.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end role where you'll manage the full credit control process for your portfolio of accounts. You'll work proactively to collect outstanding payments, resolve queries, minimise credit risk and help maintain a healthy sales ledger.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own customer ledger to maximise cash collection and minimise overdue debt
- Chase outstanding invoices by phone, email and written correspondence
- Investigate and resolve customer queries to remove barriers to payment
- Reconcile accounts, allocate cash and resolve unallocated payments
- Review customer accounts and support credit limit decisions
- Produce aged debt reports and provide regular updates on collection performance
- Negotiate payment plans where appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and support month-end activities
About You
You'll have:
- Previous Credit Control experience with responsibility for your own sales ledger
- Experience across the full credit control process, including collections, reconciliations, cash allocation and query resolution
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the confidence to build positive customer relationships
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload
- Good Excel and finance systems experience
- A proactive, results-driven approach with strong ownership and accountability

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
