About the Role
As a Front of House & Café Team Member, you will be the face of SPVR Arcade, providing a warm welcome to our guests while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the venue. This is a varied role combining front of house responsibilities, café service, customer interaction, and general operational duties. No two days are the same, and you’ll be expected to work flexibly across different areas of the business as required.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House
- Welcome customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Assist guests with enquiries and provide information about our experiences and facilities.
- Process bookings, admissions, and payments using our POS system.
- Ensure reception and customer areas remain clean, organised, and welcoming.
- Help create a fun, positive atmosphere for families and guests of all ages.
Café & Dessert Bar
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, including coffees, teas, bubble teas, and milkshakes.
- Prepare desserts such as waffles, pancakes, sundaes, and other menu items to a high standard.
- Maintain excellent food presentation and follow all food hygiene and safety procedures.
- Restock ingredients, packaging, and café supplies throughout the day.
General Venue Duties
- Support the wider team across the venue during busy periods, parties, and events.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout customer-facing areas.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures where required.
- Carry out additional duties as requested to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

✔ Reliable, punctual, and well presented.
✔ Availability to work weekends, school holidays, and some evenings.
Barista experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided for the right candidate.
