Essential criteria;
Who we are looking for:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Streetlighting Operative. Experience in trenching, ducting, reinstatement works associated with Streetlighting operations.
- Qualifications: COP2 certification, a current NRSWA operative qualification.
- Knowledge: Highways electrical knowledge/qualifications desirable.
- Safety Commitment: Strong dedication to safety protocols and fostering a secure work environment.
- Driving License: A full clean UK Driving license is required for this role.
It would be great if you have:
- An appropriate G39, HESA 210 and 214 safe isolation qualification.
- MEWP CPCS qualifications appropriate to the role.
- Up to date UK Class II Driving Licence.
- CPCS Lorry Loader or equivalent.
- Experience in operating machines up to 5T
Role and responsibilities;
What your role will include:
- Carry out general duties, including all aspects of digging associated with LV service jointing, column / sign / bollard erection / removal and associated cable networks.
- You will also carry out driving, delivery and general yard duties in support of the Suffolk contract
- The removal or decommissioning of assets as required.
- Work in connection with the installation and decommissioning of ALL associated street lighting equipment and EV connections.
- Driving general company vehicles.
- Excavation work for joint holes, columns, sign and bollard installations and associated cable runs.
- The safe use and operation of tools, equipment and vehicles associated with the role.
- Working in a safe manner and in accordance with Company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies and procedures.
- Complying with operational working practices and associated risk assessments.
- Taking full ownership for personal Health & Safety responsibilities.
- Mentoring young and vulnerable persons on site.
- Ensuring PPE is worn at all times
