An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, energetic and outstanding early years practitioner to join our kind, friendly and hardworking team. The successful candidate will be have a proven track record in team leadership of a base room and knowledge of 0 - 2 years development.
Housed in our very spacious, and unique, single storey, purpose built nursery school set in five acres of grounds in the beautiful village of Raglan, an easy commute from Cardiff, Newport, Pontypool, Monmouth and surrounding areas. Now in our 26th year, Puddle Ducks have been providing quality early years care and education regulated by CIW and ESTYN. Puddle Ducks is registered for 150 children daily from 0 to 12 years with a staff of 30 plus dedicated members. Rated Excellent in all areas in our latest joint CIW and Estyn inspection and awarded NDNA Nursery of the Year Wales 2026.
The successful applicant will hold a minimum of a Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development or equivalent (Not Health and Social Care please). Have a sound knowledge of and a confidence to lead and support their team.
We will provide the training and support to enable you to perform your role to your best and grow in your role. Puddle Ducks is committed to providing CPD opportunities to all our staff to enable our setting to continue to grow and evolve to provide quality childcare.
Working Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm all year round (not term time only). An enhanced DBS and references will be required for this role.
