Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef or Sous Chef ready to step up and lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a keen eye for food safety and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation to team management, ensuring the highest standards are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards
- Manage food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting professional development
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area at all times
- Ensure consistent presentation and portion control in line with brand standards
- Ensure recipes and costings are kept up to date in line with the target GP
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a busy casual dining environment
- Extensive food production and preparation skills
- Strong team management and leadership capabilities
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Previous experience working in a pub or hospitality setting
- Excellent cooking skills with a passion for culinary innovation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to effectively lead and motivate staff

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
