Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in food plating, presentation, and portion control to ensure consistency and visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety protocols
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for everyone
- Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to optimize workflow and deliver exceptional service
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory management as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a restaurant setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling of ingredients is highly valued
- Experience in meal preparation and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment will set you apart
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques, including basic cooking methods and food presentation
- Ability to serve guests promptly and professionally when assisting front-of-house staff is a plus
