Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Recovery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and equipment, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. This role requires a professional approach, strong driving skills, and mechanical knowledge to handle various recovery situations efficiently.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to recover and deliver vehicles or equipment to designated locations
- Safely load and unload items, ensuring secure transportation in compliance with safety regulations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic mechanical checks to ensure optimal operation
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding schedules and delivery updates
- Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including inventory management and organising transport routes
- Follow all health and safety protocols during recovery operations
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles, preferably within a recovery or logistics environment (not essential but preferred)
- Strong driving skills with a valid <PERSON> driver’s licence and experience operating flatbed vehicles
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues during recovery or transport tasks
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and dispatchers
- Full training can be provided for the right candidates

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
