Job Summary
Due to expansion we are seeking a part time Qualified Dental Nurse to join our 7 surgery NHS practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our dental practitioners. As a Dental Nurse, you will assist in various dental procedures, ensuring that patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. You will be supported by a dedicated decontamination nurse, helping you to focus on delivering excellent chairside care.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures
- Prepare and maintain the dental surgery, ensuring all equipment is sterilised and ready for use
- Provide excellent patient care by reassuring and supporting patients before, during, and after treatments
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and oral hygiene advice
Skills
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- A commitment to providing exceptional patient care with empathy and professionalism
- Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining patient records and managing appointments
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dental team while also being able to work independently when required

This position requires availability to work on
Wednesdays 8:45am - 5:30pm
Fridays 8:45am - 5:30pm
Saturdays 8:30am - 1:30pm
