Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Restaurant Manager to lead our dynamic hospitality team at the newly launched highly popular Salt & Cellar Bar-Kitchen-Terrace located in Chelmsford City Centre.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service, food quality, and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests at this new highly popular venue following its multi-million pound launch.
Your leadership will drive team performance, uphold food safety standards, and foster a vibrant dining experience that keeps guests coming back. Duties
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, bartenders, and support personnel to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency in every dish served.
- Manage daily operations such as opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and maintaining cleanliness standards aligned with food safety regulations.
- Train new team members on service protocols, food safety practices, and restaurant policies to promote a cohesive work environment.
- Monitor guest satisfaction levels actively, address concerns promptly, and implement improvements to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and timely service during busy hours.
- Maintain compliance with health codes, safety regulations, and licensing requirements across all restaurant activities.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting with strong team management skills.
- Extensive restaurant experience with a solid understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes to ensure compliance at all times.
- Previous leadership roles demonstrating the ability to motivate staff and manage operations effectively.
- Experience in hospitality environments such as hotels or bars is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with kitchen experience including barista or beverage service is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle customer interactions professionally and efficiently.
