We are seeking a professional, confident, reliable and dedicated relief Security Officer to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, customers, visitors, clients and the wider public. They will be required to work proactively, respond professionally to incidents, identify and report security concerns, complete vehicle site patrols and ensure that all relevant security procedures are followed.
Essential Criteria:
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- Valid CCTV Licence.
- Valid UK Driving Licence (be confident driving and be able to travel between different sites or locations when required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure or when dealing with challenging or confrontational situations.
- Good observational and problem-solving skills.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Fully literate and able to read and understand written information, including policies, procedures, instructions, incident reports and risk assessments.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Flexible approach to working hours, shift patterns and operational requirements.
Desirable but not Essential Criteria:
- Previous security experience in retail, commercial, corporate, or public environments.
- First Aid qualification.
- Customer service experience.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols.
- Monitor and respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
- Maintain vigilance for suspicious activity and security breaches and identify any potential hazards.
- Monitor access points, premises, vehicles, equipment and surrounding areas.
- Prevent and deter theft, criminal activity, vandalism and unauthorised access.
Hours & shift pattern:
8 Hour and 12 Hour day and night shifts available.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
