New job opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Full Time Dental Nurse has arisen at our orthodontic specialist practice. The successful candidate will support our orthodontist or orthodontic therapist during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a clean and organised clinical environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and interested in developing their career within dental healthcare. The Dental Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality support to both patients and the dental team, ensuring smooth daily operations of the practice.
Alongside chair side assistance, we would like our future nurse to have the interest of our patients and the practice at heart. This post is best suited for those who are looking to develop their skills further including management. We will offer in house training in taking clinical photography, intra oral scans, the opportunity to enroll to the BDA radiology course, making thermoplastic retainers and support in other CPD courses and training.
No need for previous experience in orthodontics, as we will train you in-house.

Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontist/therapist during a variety of orthodontic procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, offering reassurance, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments.
- Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules efficiently.
- Support patients with post-treatment advice and instructions.
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organised, and adheres to infection control protocols.
- Manage administrative tasks such as updating patient information using IT systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and suppliers to facilitate smooth practice operations.

Qualifications
- GDC registration
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
- Organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to dental care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates eager to learn.
- A caring attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to reassure anxious patients.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the dental team in maintaining high standards of practice.
