We are seeking a passionate and committed Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed children’s home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the home, ensuring high-quality care that is safe, nurturing, and child-centred.
You will lead and develop the staff team, promote a positive culture, and ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
The successful candidate will be confident in managing safeguarding matters, supporting staff development, and driving continuous improvement within the service.
Responsibilities
- Overall leadership and management of the home
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and statutory guidance
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Managing and developing a stable, motivated staff team
- Managing rotas, staffing levels, and budgets effectively
- Completing audits, oversight, and quality assurance processes
- Developing and implementing care plans and risk assessments
- Building positive relationships with local authorities, families, and professionals
- Driving positive outcomes for children and young people
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Previous experience within children’s residential care as a Registered Manager
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience supporting children with EBD and complex behaviours
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice and therapeutic approaches

Pay: Up to £55,000.00 per year
