We are looking for a hands-on Production Team Leader to support the Production Manager in leading our production team and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the factory.
Outline Scope & Purpose of Role
The Production Team Leader will assist the Production Manager in supervising the production team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing experience who enjoys leading by example, supporting colleagues and driving productivity.
Key Tasks
- Support the Production Manager with the daily running of the production department.
- Lead, motivate and supervise production operatives across all manufacturing areas.
- Allocate work and monitor production to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Provide hands-on support across the factory when required.
- Assist with production planning, capacity planning and workflow.
- Monitor Work in Progress (WIP) and help resolve production issues.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identify training needs and support the development of production operatives.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed.
- Work closely with the Production Manager, Quality, Purchasing and Logistics teams to ensure efficient production and on-time delivery.
- Assist with reporting production performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Support the Production Manager in achieving daily production targets.
- Ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Lead and support production operatives to maximise productivity and teamwork.
- Help ensure customer orders are completed and delivered on time.
- Promote a safe working environment and compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement across production processes and efficiency.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Experience leading or supervising a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety.
- Hands-on approach with a commitment to quality.
Desirable
- Experience within the window, glazing or fabrication industry.
- Production planning or scheduling experience.
Location – Dinnington, Sheffield
Hours – Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm
Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
