MET Technician

About the role:
Due to Company expansion and new Contracts, there is an exciting opportunity to join us as part of our skilled MET Technician team in a busy, varied role. Working in the bodyshop, the role requires the following:
- Remove & refit mechanical and electrical trims / panels / components on vehicles
- Wheel Alignment and Tyres
- Follow manufacturer repair methods to return vehicles to pre-accident condition
- Fault finding / Diagnostics
- Mechanical Skills and MET Skills
- Awareness & adherence to all necessary standards and H&S procedures
- To dismantle and reassemble damaged vehicles in accordance with the prescribed repair method
- Ensure that all jobs are completed within the prescribed time frame
- Check that all parts are ordered as per estimate, ordering additional pats as required once vehicle is stripped this to ensure that the repair can be completed without delay.
About you:
To ensure we choose the right candidate for the role, we are looking for someone:
- Previous bodyshop MET/Trim experience is essential
- A good and thorough understanding of vehicle refurbishment repair process
- Able to work well within a team and on their own initiative
- Able to use specialist equipment
- With a keen eye for detail, quality and who takes pride in their work
- With a flexible attitude to working hours and overtime
- With an ATA, NVQ or City and Guilds certification, however this is not essential
