We are looking for an experienced, dependable and professional Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our team in a Deputy Manager / Third in Charge capacity.
This position would suit a confident early years professional who has previous leadership experience as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager or similar, and who is ready to take on greater responsibility within a small, established nursery setting.
We are particularly interested in someone who is calm, organised, reliable and confident communicating with both parents and staff, with the ability to support the day-to-day running of the nursery and maintain consistently high standards.
The role
Working alongside the Nursery Manager and Director, you will:
- Support the effective day-to-day running of the nursery
- Provide guidance, support and leadership to practitioners
- Help maintain consistently high standards of care, teaching and safeguarding
- Support staff with routines, organisation and room practice
- Build positive and professional relationships with parents and families
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing in line with the EYFS
- Assist with staff deployment and the smooth running of the nursery day
- Help ensure policies, procedures and safeguarding expectations are consistently followed
- Support the planning and organisation of nursery activities and events
- Take responsibility within the nursery when required
- Lead by example and contribute positively to the nursery team and culture
About you
You will need:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
- Good knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Previous experience working within an early years setting
- Leadership experience, ideally as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager or similar
- Strong spoken and written English
- A confident, professional and approachable manner
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Honesty, integrity, reliability and a strong sense of professional responsibility
- Initiative and the ability to lead by example
- The confidence to manage situations calmly and professionally
- The ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and external professionals
- A commitment to maintaining high standards and being a stable, dependable member of the team
Additional language skills are highly desirable, particularly Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin or Cantonese, as we value the ability to communicate with and support families from a wide range of backgrounds.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
