About the Role
ICS Facility Services is looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Cleaner to join our cleaning team at Brookfield Community Primary School in Preston.
Working as part of a friendly team, you will help maintain a clean, hygienic and welcoming school environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
This is a part-time afternoon position, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has a good eye for detail and can be relied upon to maintain consistently high cleaning standards.
Hours & Pay
- 7.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- 4:30pm – 6:00pm
- £12.71 per hour
- 43-week contract
- 39 weeks during school term time
- 4 additional weeks of shutdown cleaning during school closure periods, including summer and half terms
- Annual leave must be taken during periods of school closure
Your Main Responsibilities
Your cleaning duties will include:
- Cleaning classrooms and teaching areas
- Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities
- Cleaning corridors, communal areas and offices
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
- Wiping and sanitising surfaces and touchpoints
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
- Replenishing washroom and cleaning consumables
- Using cleaning products, chemicals and equipment safely
- Following COSHH and Health & Safety procedures
- Completing additional and deep-cleaning duties during school shutdown periods
- Helping the cleaning team maintain consistently high standards throughout the school
Full instruction and training will be provided for the safe use of cleaning products, equipment and site procedures.

Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage, but we also welcome applications from candidates who have the right attitude and are willing to learn.
