Chef / Kitchen All-Rounder – Forest Gate Papi’s Munchies @ Pretty Decent Beer Co
We’re a fast-growing, award-winning pizza business (Top 50 Pizzerias in Europe, two years running) looking for a passionate and versatile Pizza Chef / Kitchen All-Rounder to join our team. This is a hybrid, multitasking role — alongside cooking, you’ll be taking counter orders and managing Deliveroo, so we need someone who thrives on variety and pace.
Duties
- Prepare and cook authentic pizzas according to our recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food prep for other menu items, ensuring consistency and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in line with health and safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety protocols at all times
- Take counter orders and manage Deliveroo orders alongside kitchen service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and utensils
- Contribute to team efforts to uphold high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Previous pizza or kitchen experience essential
- Fluent English is a must
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen setting
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Experience taking orders or serving customers is advantageous but not essential
- A positive, hands-on attitude with a passion for quality food and great service
Pay Starting from £28,000 per year (£13.50/hour), plus tronc. Pay increases after successful completion of training and probation.
