This is a permanent position not suitable for those in Education. The working week includes Saturdays. Previous applicants need not apply.
Responsible for maintaining a high standard of customer service and advice, confidently handling payments and ensuring the shop floor is well – presented with attractively displayed products and well-maintained stock levels.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities –
Selling:
. To always put the customer first and to identify customer needs promptly and accurately
. Engage with customers upon arrival and initiate conversation
. To provide a personalised and professional service
. To provide advice, present the goods and promote business at Bellefontaines’ accurately
. To communicate clearly, ensuring customer requests are met and recorded on the relevant paperwork
. To ensure that all till operations are handled securely, accurately, efficiently and all orders and paperwork are completed in accordance with policies and procedures
. To wrap customer purchases as required
. To care for the customers belongings
. To respond to customer comments, pass on suggestions and refer complaints immediately and to resolve matters without delay.
Service –
. To ensurethat shop and staff areas are clean, tidy and organised to maintain a safe working environment
. To ensure all stock is clearly and correctly priced and ensure that stock levels are maintained and that there is proper stock rotation of goods on display
. To learn about the products and provide customers with product information
. To communicate and work effectively with other members of the team
. To prioritise workload according to the needs of the customer and the needs of the shop
. To be aware of, understand and comply with all health and safety issues and legislation
. To carry out any other duties that may be required
