Role Overview.
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring customer accounts are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for allocating receipts, monitoring account activity, reconciling discrepancies and resolving customer queries, while working closely with internal teams to support the wider finance function. This role is well suited to someone with strong accounts experience, excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities.
· Post and allocate customer payments accurately and in a timely manner.
· Investigate and resolve billing and invoice disputes efficiently, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
· Act as a first point of contact for key customers, including Amazon and Next, managing debit queries and related account issues.
· Support the team with credit control activities as required.
· Processing purchase invoices, including appropriate checks and reconciliations
· Assisting with supplier payments
· Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to more efficient ways of working.
· Assist with annual audits and provide supporting information where needed.
· Provide support to the wider finance team and contribute to departmental priorities as required.
· Responsible for Employee expenses and processing journals for claims.
Skills and Experience.
· At least two years’ experience in an accounts receivable role.
· Ability to work at pace, manage competing priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
· Confidence in reviewing existing processes and suggesting improvements.
· Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
