The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with sales ledger experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing accurate financial information.
You'll be responsible for managing day-to-day sales ledger activities while supporting the wider finance team and credit control function.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing sales invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently
- Reconciling invoices against daily invoicing reports and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate financial records within Oracle NetSuite
- Supporting the credit control function with documentation and account queries
- Preparing monthly reconciliations and supporting financial reporting activities
- Assisting with month-end processes, budgeting and forecasting activities
- Investigating and resolving ledger-related queries from clients and colleagues
- Supporting external audit requirements and taking ownership of sales ledger records
- Assisting the Finance Director and Management Accountants with ad-hoc finance tasks
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working with numbers and processes.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a Sales Ledger, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience using finance systems such as Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, proactive approach to problem solving
Desirable
- Experience of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
- AAT qualification or currently studying towards AAT
