We are looking for an experienced Senior CAD Technician to join our design team.
You will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and layouts for the design and installation of automotive workshops. Working closely with our internal teams, you will support projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring designs are accurate, practical and delivered to a high standard.
This is an office-based role suited to an experienced CAD Technician or Draughtsperson with strong 2D AutoCAD skills and experience using 3D Revit. You will work on a varied range of technically interesting projects and play an important role in delivering high-quality workshop designs for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate 2D technical drawings and workshop layouts using AutoCAD, including M&E layouts and coordination.
- Produce and develop 3D models and designs using Revit.
- Convert verbal and written project information into detailed technical drawings.
- Produce accurate and efficient drawing packages to support installation projects.
- Review and process drawings received from contractors and suppliers.
- Maintain drawing records and ensure document control procedures are followed.
- Support the development and improvement of new and existing workshop designs.
- Work closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements and technical standards.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years' commercial experience using 2D AutoCAD.
- Experience using 3D Revit is essential.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- An understanding of engineering and/or construction drawings would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, numeracy and IT skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical approach to design.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good colour vision and the ability to visualise designs in 3D.
- An interest in the automotive industry would be beneficial.

Pay & Perks
