Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Associates to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing excellent customer service. You will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience while assisting with various tasks throughout the store.
This is a part-time position for 3–4 days per week, with a start date at the end of June/beginning of July.
The role includes receiving and checking deliveries, unpacking stock, carrying boxes, and ensuring products are stored and displayed correctly. Applicants should be comfortable with the physical aspects of retail work, including lifting and moving stock as required.
As part of the role, you will also have the opportunity to wear the Moomin mascot costume on selected days for promotional activities. Confidence interacting with visitors of all ages and helping to create memorable experiences for our customers is essential.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to provide accurate information to customers.
- Assist with restocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure the store is visually appealing.
- Operate the till and handle transactions efficiently while adhering to company policies.
- Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the sales floor and stockroom.
- Participate in inventory management tasks, including stock counts and product placement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve daily operational goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer engagement.
