Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for running programmes and setting up tooling and fixturing for our 5 axis DMG Mori machines to produce high-quality parts efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on job specifications.
- Operate CNC equipment to produce parts according to detailed drawings and specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools, gauges, and measurement devices to ensure quality standards are met.
- Adjust machine settings as needed during production runs to optimize performance and maintain precision.
- Perform basic maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Assist in tooling selection, setup, and replacement to ensure efficient manufacturing cycles.
- Use power tools and hand tools for assembly, finishing, or minor repairs when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of machine setups, production logs, and quality checks throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of CNC milling processes.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment safely and effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Good problem-solving skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality output.
- Knowledge of Heidenhain and Siemens controls is ideal but not essestial as training will be given.
