As a crematoria driver for Anima Care you will operate as part of a team in a mobile role. Your primary responsibilities will include the collection of animal cadavers and waste from assigned veterinary practice locations. You will also deliver consumables and ashes back to sites as required. The Role:
As a crematoria driver you will operate as part of a team in a mobile role. Your primary responsibilities will include the collection of animal cadavers and waste from assigned veterinary practice locations. You will also deliver consumables and ashes back to sites as required. As a front facing representative of the crematoria brand, you will provide exceptional customer service, support, and advice at all times. You will be expected to work in full compliance with waste management regulatory requirements and adhere to all legal driving responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a collection and delivery service of both pet Cadaver and waste and the safe return delivery of both pets ashes and veterinary consumable products
- Drive safely between sites in accordance with legal obligations and SOP’s
- Carry out daily pre use vehicle checks and record on Evotix.
- Operate efficiently, with integrity, and in line with agreed practice procedures (including gates, locks, keys, and alarm protocols)
- Perform all duties in an ethical and dignified manner with a commitment for efficiency and integrity
- Load and unload vehicles in a safe and responsible manner following H&S compliance and SOP’s
- Provide exceptional customer service and support whilst striving for excellence during all client interactions
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately picked, packed, loaded, and documented, reporting any supply issues promptly
- Complete all company documentation and records accurately, in accordance with both paper based and digital procedures.
- Handle and segregate waste correctly in line with regulatory requirements.
- Comply with all legal driving responsibilities at all times and follow the appropriate protocols if an incident occurs.
- Comply with Dangerous Goods Regulations.
- Work with pride maintaining a clean vehicle, working environment, and professional personal appearance at all times.
- Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations including the use of PPE e.g. Stab resistant gloves when handling waste.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year commercial driving experience
- Experience operating a 3.5 tonne delivery or collection vehicle, including confidence with vehicle size, manoeuvrability and safe handling
- Capable of using basic IT tools to complete digital and administrative tasks
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting
- Flexibility for a range of shift times and comfortable driving during night time hours
The package:
- Full time permanent role working 42.5 hours per week working night shifts. There will be an enhanced rate of pay for a maximum of 15 hours per week
