Corporate Banking is a client-facing department, responsible for marketing, onboarding and ongoing management of the client relationship, providing loan business to the clients as well as promoting ancillary business according to the Bank’s business strategy and risk appetite. As an Associate - Project Finance, you will be responsible for assisting with the origination, analysis, structuring and execution of Project Finance/Structured Finance transactions, including ECA/Multilateral Development Bank covered transactions within the designated region. Additionally, you will actively manage a portfolio of Project Finance transactions, supporting ongoing credit monitoring and relationship optimisation to contribute to the strategic objectives of the London Branch. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities

Support the management of portfolio, including ongoing credit monitoring, covenant compliance, annual reviews, amendments, waivers, refinancing activities and client relationship management

Support the expansion of the Bank's Project Finance/Structured Finance business through business development and origination activities

Contribute to the preparation of business proposals and assist with the internal credit approval process in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures

Undertake market and industry research to identify new business opportunities and expand the client base in line with the Bank's risk appetite and credit policies

Assist in developing client relationships and identifying Project Finance/Structured Finance opportunities within the designated region, in accordance with the Bank's business strategy and credit policy

Support the cross selling of other departments' products to existing and prospective clients, with a particular focus on deposits, foreign exchange and other banking products

Collaborate with the Loan Administration team to support the efficient administration and ongoing management of existing credit facilities

Contribute to team compliance activities, including KYC/KYB processes and other regulatory requirements

Assist with post-lending activities, including transaction monitoring and reporting, in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures
Requirements

Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, Business or other relevant subject

Proven experience in credit management and portfolio management within Corporate Banking

Experience in Project Finance/Structured Finance transactions is highly desirable

Demonstrated experience with general and structured Corporate Banking products, services and lending activities

Proficient in Mandarin is preferred
