Gameshow All-Stars is the award-winning team behind the UK’s first gameshow activity bar.
We created the concept: live gameshow-style challenges, giant buzzers, competitive chaos, great drinks and food, plus the chance to find out which of your friends absolutely cannot cope with losing.
With two successful sites already open, we’re now growing the brand and bringing Gameshow All-Stars to Nottingham. We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Venue Manager to lead the new site, build an exceptional team and help make our next opening our best one yet.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the Nottingham venue, covering the gameshow experience, bar, food service, team, stock, compliance and player satisfaction.
You’ll keep games running on time, drinks flowing, standards high and the team clear on what brilliant looks like.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the daily running of the venue
- Recruit, train, motivate and manage supervisors, Gameshow Hosts and bar staff
- Create rotas, manage holidays and maintain the right staffing levels
- Deliver consistently brilliant player experiences
- Ensure games run smoothly, safely and on time
- Maintain high standards across the games, bar and customer areas
- Manage stock ordering, counts, waste, deliveries and cash reconciliation
- Monitor sales, labour, guest spend, reviews and venue targets
- Maintain licensing, food hygiene, allergen, fire safety and health and safety compliance
- Report and follow up technical or maintenance queries
- Work with senior management to improve revenue, efficiency and the player journey
- Support corporate events, partnerships and local marketing
- Know where the spare batteries are before anyone starts panicking
What We’re Looking For
- Management experience within hospitality, leisure, entertainment, events or a similar customer-facing venue
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Confidence managing teams, rotas, labour, stock, cash and targets
- A commercially aware and solutions-focused approach
- High standards and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to stay calm during busy, high-energy shifts
- Confidence using booking systems, tills, scheduling platforms and reports
- A willingness to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periods
- Knowledge of licensing, food hygiene and allergens would be beneficial
This is an opportunity to lead a brand-new venue while joining an original, award-winning concept at an exciting stage of growth.
You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room. You do need to lead from the front, care about the details and recognise the difference between fun chaos and actual chaos.
