Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Inspecting damaged vehicles and determining the extent of repairs required.
Repairing or replacing damaged body panels, structural components, and vehicle frames.
Carrying out panel beating, welding, fabrication, and alignment work using specialist equipment.
Preparing vehicle surfaces for painting by filling, sanding, and finishing repaired areas.
Restoring vehicles to manufacturer specifications and industry quality standards.
Conducting final quality inspections to ensure repairs meet safety and compliance requirements.
Maintaining workshop tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
Following all company health and safety policies and industry best practices.
Recording completed repairs and communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
A minimum of two years' practical experience as a Vehicle Body Builder, Panel Beater, or Vehicle Body Repair Technician.
Proven experience repairing accident-damaged vehicles and carrying out structural body repairs.
Competence in welding, panel replacement, fabrication, and the use of specialist body repair equipment.
Good understanding of vehicle construction, repair techniques, and manufacturer repair standards.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a workshop environment.
Preferred qualifications include a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Body Repair, Automotive Body Repair, or an equivalent recognised vocational qualification or apprenticeship.
Pay: £35,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
