About the Role
PHL Group is looking for an Administrator to join our Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) team in Bournemouth.
As an Administrator, you will play an integral role in supporting the effective management of administration tasks, helping to ensure the safe delivery of services. Working closely with the wider administration and clinical teams, you will provide a respectful and caring service to SARC patients while ensuring all administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
Hours: Fridays from 09:00 - 17:00hrs
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the administration and management of clients accessing the SARC service.
- Handle inbound patient calls and complete administration tasks within agreed service levels.
- Provide word processing support, including typing letters, reports and patient referrals for GPs and health professionals.
- Maintain accurate and secure patient records, including the use of EMIS.
- Scan, code and upload documentation into patients' medical records.
- Download clinical documents into patient records and action administrative tasks that do not require clinical input.
- Welcome service users and visitors to the SARC.
- Provide advocacy support to SARC clients.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide information to enable clients to make informed decisions regarding self-referral, medical care, forensic examination, police reporting and onward referrals.
- Produce accurate documentation and maintain secure record keeping in line with SARC policy.
- Identify safeguarding concerns, complete relevant risk assessments and liaise with the Sexual Offence Examiner, police and the SARC office team where appropriate.
About You
Essential
- Previous experience of working with vulnerable people.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent computer skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Desirable
- Recent NHS experience.
- Experience of working with victims of sexual assault.
- A relevant qualification in supporting victims of sexual and/or physical abuse.
- Forensic awareness.
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and NPPV Level 2 vetting.
