We have an amazing opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join us at our Neurological Rehabilitation Centre, Kibblesworth.
South to the Angel of the North and nestled in a lovely village, Kibblesworth Neurological Rehabilitation Centre provides rehabilitation services for adults with neurological conditions resulting from injury, illness or disease.
What you'll be working:
~ Tuesday to Friday
~ Part time , 24hrs per week
Salary: FTE £26,884.93 per annum (pro rata), FT hours are 40hrs per week
What you'll be doing:
- Carry out daily cleaning of resident bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, dining rooms, corridors, and staff areas.
- Perform deep‑cleaning tasks as scheduled (e.g., steam cleaning, mattress cleaning, high‑level dusting).
- Clean and sanitise frequently touched surfaces to reduce infection risks.
- Make beds, change bedding, and ensure rooms are tidy and comfortable.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely, following infection control procedures.
- Clean spills promptly and report any hazards.
- Follow colour‑coded cleaning systems and COSHH guidelines.
- Use PPE correctly and maintain high personal hygiene standards.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely, stored correctly, and maintained.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns immediately to senior staff.
- Laundry duties
- Record keeping
What you'll have:
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in a care home or healthcare environment is an advantage.
