Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Practitioner to join our amazing team who work in the beautiful Peak District, close to Chatsworth House. We are a new nursery, placing staff wellbeing as one of our top priorities, for example, you will get a paid day off for your birthday, nursery closes for 2 days a year for training meaning staff aren't expected to always train on evenings and weekends, nursery closes for a week at Christmas giving staff a well deserved break, nursery will pay for CPD opportunities, staff receive above average pay with annual reviews etc.. We are working hard to create a well qualified, dedicated, passionate and fun team of individuals who can support each other to be the best practitioners that they can be. The role is permanent, 37 hours over 4 days a week. The day off would be a Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
- Manage daily operations within the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early education.
- Support children's individual needs and encourage their social, emotional, and physical development.
- Drive to various locations as required for training sessions.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
- A background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience in planning educational programmes tailored to children's developmental stages.
