Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high productivity and morale.
- Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to optimize logistics workflows.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety standards across all warehouse functions.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and internal teams to streamline supply chain activities.
- Maintain accurate records using ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct regular safety audits, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a warehouse or logistics environment with a focus on process optimization.
- Strong understanding of profit & loss management to oversee budget adherence and operational costs.
- Hands-on experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP platforms like OrderWise or SAP.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, forklift operation, and warehouse safety protocols.
- Familiarity with supply chain principles, logistics strategies, and warehouse best practices.
- Ability to lead change initiatives aimed at process improvement and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
