Job Summary
County Foods, a successful supplier of fresh meat products, delicatessen, dry goods and frozen foods to over 500 customers, are currently recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager to work with our busy production team.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance our organisation’s quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols to ensure products meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations. Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures aligned with industry standards such as HACCP.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes, products, and documentation to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Analyse quality data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.
- Lead investigations into product non-conformities or customer complaints, ensuring corrective actions are effectively executed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of quality throughout the organisation.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality assurance practices and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics for senior management and external auditors.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to quality assurance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and implementation.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify actionable insights.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence organisational culture towards continuous improvement.
- Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications in quality management or related fields are preferred.
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
- Prior experience in conducting audits and managing compliance documentation is desirable. This position is integral to maintaining high-quality standards across our operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within the organisation.
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
