We are looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our growing Compliance team. Reporting to the Head of Compliance & MLRO, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within financial crime and regulatory compliance.
The Role
The Compliance Analyst will support the Compliance function in monitoring the firm's regulatory obligations and financial crime framework. The role sits within the Second Line of Defence and focuses on compliance oversight, quality assurance and regulatory support rather than customer onboarding or operational processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quality assurance reviews of customer onboarding and KYC files completed by the First Line.
- Review sanctions, PEP and transaction monitoring alerts escalated by the Operations team.
- Assist with compliance monitoring reviews and testing.
- Support the investigation of financial crime alerts and internal escalations.
- Help maintain compliance registers, logs and management information.
- Assist with preparing Board and management reports.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Help review and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assist with implementing regulatory changes.
- Provide day-to-day compliance support to the business under the guidance of the Head of Compliance & MLRO.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- 1–3 years' experience within a compliance, AML or financial crime role.
- Understanding of AML, sanctions and customer due diligence principles.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Desirable
- Experience working within an FCA-regulated firm.
- Knowledge of the Payment Services Regulations or Electronic Money Regulations.
- ICA Certificate, ACAMS or willingness to study towards a professional qualification.
- Experience using sanctions screening or transaction monitoring systems.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
